About Jax
Jax has been practicing yoga for 18+ years. She is deeply inspired by B.K.S. Iyengar and Judith Lasater.
Jax was first introduced to yoga through a friend from competitive dance. Since then, her relationship with yoga has evolved. What started as a way to workout and gain flexibility has transformed into a practice of slowing down and releasing physical tension.
When you join a class with Jax, you can expect to take a slow-paced, gentle practice that is intended to get you ‘out of your mind - and into your body’. Jax incorporates pranayama (breathwork) into every class and students will gain experience using yoga props to support asanas (poses).
Jax maintains an active yoga practice and attends training regularly to keep her skills and knowledge current. Most recently, she completed Judith Lasater’s Relax and Renew® Level 1 training. This 30-hour course is a hands-on exploration that deep dives into the art of teaching and practicing Restorative Yoga.
